Job Summary/Description
WTOC is looking for its next great visual storyteller! We’re looking for a self‑motivated, excellent communicator and videographer who can work independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up and executing live shots per shift, observing and relaying information to the newsroom, and other duties as assigned. Training will be provided on all duties. WTOC is looking for someone with an eye for news and the creativity to tell stories through the lens of their camera. You must be self‑motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up and executing live shots, knowledge in ENG cameras, using cellular Live broadcast devices (LiveU), and other duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities

Gathering video and sound for stories

Shoot daily live shots

Editing stories for television, web

Contribute to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation

Qualifications/Requirements
This can be an entry‑level job or open to someone with more experience behind a camera.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in journalism, TV production, or related field – equivalent experience considered

Non‑linear editing experience preferred but not required

Proven ability to post content on social media platforms

Ability to lift up to pounds

Flexible schedule with on‑call assignments

MVR check in pre‑employment
