Seeking an experienced Precast Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced precast concrete environment. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring high-quality output, and leading teams to meet safety, schedule, and performance goals.

Oversees casting, finishing, curing, and material flow while partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to optimize throughput and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Own daily and weekly production output, including:

Casts per bed per week

Cycle time and bed utilization

Labor efficiency

Develop and execute production plans aligned with schedules

Ensure on-time delivery and schedule attainment

Lead all casting activities: setup, rebar/embeds, pouring, finishing, curing, and stripping

Standardize processes to reduce variation and improve consistency

Partner with Engineering to resolve design and manufacturability challenges

Ensure all products meet quality and specification requirements

Partner with Quality Control to resolve defects and reduce rework

Maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards

Champion a strong safety culture on the production floor

Ensure compliance with safety standards

Conduct audits, observations, and safety meetings

Act quickly to correct unsafe conditions

Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams

Set clear expectations and performance standards

Support training and skill development

Identify and eliminate waste, downtime, and inefficiencies

Lead improvement initiatives focused on:

Labor productivity

Setup reduction

Bed utilization

Defect reduction

Track and report KPIs and performance metrics

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred

Equivalent experience considered

1.5+ years in precast concrete or heavy manufacturing

2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

Hands‑on experience with casting operations and production workflows

Skills

Strong knowledge of precast production processes

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Experience with KPIs and production metrics

Proven leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and decision‑making skills

Physical and Travel requirements

Regular presence on the production floor

Ability to climb, walk, and access production areas

Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)

Occasional travel between facilities, as needed
