DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provide leadership for marketing efforts for both Georgia Farm Bureau Federation as well as the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company
Acquires, manages, and coordinates advertising space for GFB companies in all forms of media outlets, including digital, print, online, radio, outdoor and television
Manage monthly accountability of budgeting in the Information/PR/Marketing department
Excel in leadership abilities, directing Marketing, Visual Strategies and Publications
Help to grow the online presence of the company by making informed decisions supporting professional strategies, technical roadmaps and direction of the companies two websites, working closely with IT personnel on content, overall functionality and ROI
Manage and recommend involvement with key sponsor partners
Manage the relationship/partnership with the Georgia Exposition and Agriculture community (GA National Fairgrounds and Agriculture Center) and Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College
Working with the Information/PR Director, be prepared to represent our Company in public meetings or in public spaces
Coordinate the development and implementation of an external plan that enhances our social responsibilities
Knowledge of; GFB Public Policy (IFIV/PAC), GFB Member Services, GFB Field Services, Georgia Foundation for Ag, and GFB Insurance marketing goals, general knowledge and exposure to marketing, agriculture, insurance, External Affairs, Public Policy, Accounting & Budget
Cursory understanding of GFB policies, and the ability to communicate these issues to others
Management skills related to team building, supervising relationships and interpersonal leadership
Provide leadership and oversight for Georgia Farm Bureau’s email marketing and SMS marketing strategies and roadmap for the future
Ability to work closely with region and other partners to utilize resources (ex. GFB Foundation, ERC volunteer time) to maximize our influence and external effectiveness
Proficient in computer skills, (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

Travel up to 20% of time (both in state same day travel and overnight, via vehicle and air travel)
Manage goals and expectations of press releases, company branding, television, radio, marketing, and print
Work with Marketing team members to handle high level company responses to potential crisis’s, any negative comments on social media and in the mainstream media sources (Brand Reputation)
Respond to special requests on behalf of the Company from corporate partners (e.g., Executive Communications, Public Policy Team, Member Services, etc.)
Special Projects as assigned
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism or a related field required, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience; or 15+ years of equivalent professional experience required
Communication and organizational skills, innovative, self-motivated, and committed to the mission and excellence in brand reputation required
Media buying experience is preferred, especially with streaming media platforms
2+ years’ of Digital Marketing management experience required
4+ years’ experience in writing, public speaking or news gathering, television, or radio required
4+ years of experience in website management, SEM and SEO required
4+ years’ experience in social media engagement, posting, and marketing strategies required
A valid Georgia driver’s license with a Driving Record that meets underwriting standards of the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the leaders in the areas of print, marketing, and visual strategies
Assist Director in hiring, managing, and evaluating marketing and public relations team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must have strong communication skills with the ability to speak in conference/meeting settings
Ability to lift some equipment up to 25 pounds
Travel flexibility on planes and in vehicles
