Peoria Station Manager
Purpose
Engage people and drive operational excellence.
Grow local BC business and network opportunities in collaboration with OFR product & DGF global network partners.
Organize the team for outstanding customer service, operational quality, and efficiency, including collaboration with the Global Supply Chain team.
Manage costs and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the station’s EBIT result.
Ensure employee engagement and target performance.
Improve customer satisfaction through service-first initiatives and process improvements.
Drive the GoGreen agenda.
Represent the station to local authorities and act as the legal representative.
Organize company events and serve as the go-to person for employee matters.
Decide on all administrative matters at the station.
Lead negotiations with external suppliers.
Accompany Field Sales and Key Account Sales on client visits, leveraging the Station Manager title when beneficial.
Make hiring decisions at the station level (subject to higher-level approval when required).
Make functional strategy and operations decisions, including negotiations with AFR/OFR and inland logistics suppliers.
Set performance targets and evaluate achievement.
Ensure adherence to company policies.
Deliver reliable and consistent customer service through a process-oriented approach.
Collaborate with OFR product and DGF global network partners.
Reporting Lines
Peoria Station Manager reports directly to the Regional VP, Midwest.
Minimum Education
High School/GED.
Qualifications
Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
Knowledge of station-level administrative matters.
Ability to take ownership and drive station solutions independently.
Proven track record in people-management roles, including leadership, motivation, and people skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong ocean freight background considered a major benefit.
