Job Description
The Office of Communications is seeking a Videographer to plan, develop, and produce audio/visual content for ODH programs, senior leadership, or external marketing plans (e.g., training videos, informational videos, event content, social media, marketing campaigns).

Responsibilities

Work with supervisor, Public Information Officers, marketing manager & program staff members to coordinate preproduction meetings

Develop plan for production (e.g., equipment, location, actors)

Edit content using editing software

Work with assigned program areas for content approval

Operate drone equipment to produce aerial visual content for promotional & documentary use

Collaborate with Communications team to scout locations, frame shots & deliver raw or stabilized footage

Perform tests on equipment to ensure equipment meets standards

Maintain inventory of parts & equipment

Maintain log of video & electronic source materials (e.g., computer animation, unedited video footage, music electronic graphics) for use in future video programming

Qualifications

36 months training or 36 months experience in operation and/or maintenance of video production equipment (e.g., frame synchronizer, video switcher, digital video effects generator, video distribution amplifier, graphics/character generator computer, edit controller computer, stereo audio mixing console, digital audio/video/graphics workstation)

OR completion of associate core program in graphic communication technology or multimedia production technology AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in operation and/or maintenance of video production equipment

OR completion of undergraduate core program in communications with emphasis on electronic media, video production, cinematography, or visual communication

OR equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above

Undergraduate or advanced degree in Film, Media Production, Mass Communications or related field (preferred)

Experience with camera operation (e.g., DSLR camera, camcorders, cinema cameras)

Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition)

Experience with motion graphics and creating social media content

Experience with drone operation

Additional Information
All eligible applications will be reviewed considering qualifications, experience, education, and active disciplinary record. Priority pay based on union schedule. Pay grade 32, Step 1 ($30.55 per hour) with potential raises.
