Job Overview
We’re looking for a customer service whiz & scheduling ninja for our front desk, from Sunday through Wednesday. Our busy school (300+ students) and incredible crew make for a warm and inviting community that rocks! Weekday hours are 1:00 to 8:45 pm, and Saturday hours are 9:45 am to 6:15 pm. School of Rock is the original performance‑based, interactive music school founded in 1998 in Philadelphia. With 350+ schools and a strong, internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after‑school music education provider. Our mission is to help kids rock their worlds.
Role Summary
The Studio/Social Media Coordinator is an administrative focal point for our school with outstanding customer service skills and the ability to juggle many tasks in a fast‑paced social environment. Reporting to the General Manager and Studio Manager, they assist with running the School and creating an amazing experience for all students, parents, and prospective customers. They are also responsible for scheduling and maintaining a welcoming environment. School of Rock San Rafael has become established as Marin’s premier music school, and we have a thriving, positive community of staff, parents, and students.
Primary Duties
Handle complex scheduling for a busy music school while multitasking at the front desk
Schedule and lead tours for prospective students and parents
Greet and look after students – the face of the school at the front desk
Handle the opening and closing of the school
Answer phones and field inquiries; explain our music programs and options
Work on special projects and other administrative tasks as needed
Adhere to the SOR Code of Conduct, safety policies, including the Monitoring and Supervision policy
Skill Requirements
One+ years working Front Desk, Reception, and/or Customer Service role
Highly detailed multi‑tasking in an often interrupted environment
Welcoming, outgoing demeanor essential
Good team player who collaborates well; we have a fantastic working environment
Passion for music and related arts, or experience working with young people, is a plus
