Responsibilities

Capture high-quality video footage in a documentary style, focusing on real‑life events and interviews

Collaborate with creative leads to plan and execute shot lists and visual concepts

Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment on location

Conduct interviews and capture b-roll footage as required

Ensure all footage meets technical and creative standards for post‑production

Manage media files and maintain organized backups throughout the project

Adapt to changing schedules and environments while maintaining professionalism and discretion

Skills & Requirements

Extensive experience in documentary videography and production

Proficiency with professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment

Strong understanding of visual storytelling and narrative structure

Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team

Excellent communication and organizational skills

On‑site availability in Washington D.C. or willingness to travel as needed

Portfolio demonstrating previous documentary work
