Evans is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join one of their growing contracts supporting the U.S. Navy. The role involves developing compelling, accurate, and mission‑aligned multimedia products that communicate program value, outcomes, and impact to a broad range of stakeholders. The position will translate complex technical and programmatic information into clear, engaging communications and content for senior leadership, stakeholders, and public‑facing audiences.
Location:

This role is hybrid with on‑site requirements up to 3 days/week at the Naval Air Station in Washington, DC, or Pax River, MD.
Responsibilities

Develop SBIR success stories that highlight technology maturation, Phase III transitions, operational impact, and return on investment.
Collaborate with program managers, technical leads, and small business performers to collect, synthesize, and validate content.
Design and produce briefing materials for senior Navy and DoD leadership, including flag officers and SES‑level stakeholders.
Create high‑quality slide decks, infographics, visuals, and supporting narrative content aligned with NAVAIR branding and messaging standards.
Develop and format Congressional reporting content that clearly articulates Navy SBIR program objectives, achievements, and measurable outcomes.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting requirements while maintaining readability for non‑technical audiences.
Design and develop role‑based training materials for Navy SBIR stakeholders, including government personnel, small businesses, and program support staff.
Produce multimedia training content such as videos, guides, presentations, and interactive learning assets.
Support public‑facing communications efforts, including web content, digital assets, fact sheets, and outreach materials.
Assist in maintaining consistent messaging across NAVAIR and Navy SBIR communication platforms.
Support media coordination activities, including preparation of press‑ready materials, visuals, and talking points.
Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
Master’s Degree in Communications, Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
10 years of experience in multimedia development, strategic communications, or public affairs support.
Demonstrated experience creating professional‑quality visual, written, and digital content.
Proficiency with multimedia and design tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, video or graphic tools).
Ability to translate technical or programmatic information into clear, compelling communications.
Experience supporting government, DoD, or federal communications tasks and programs.
Experience supporting Navy, NAVAIR, or SBIR/STTR programs.
Familiarity with Congressional reporting or executive‑level briefing environments.
Experience working with public affairs or communications offices.
Strong project management and coordination skills across multiple stakeholder groups.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $118,000 to $132,000 (annualized USD).
