Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Marketing and Communications team by assisting with graphic design, content creation and brand-related initiatives. This position will also contribute to the development of creative assets and written content that highlight South Carolina's businesses, communities and economic development efforts. Additionally, this position will support campaign execution, event-related marketing and content development while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Creative Design, Content & Brand Support
Assist in designing and developing branded creative assets for digital, print and social channels
Support graphic design projects including marketing collateral, presentations and campaign materials
Help maintain brand consistency across creative materials and support quality control
Contribute ideas for visual storytelling and creative development
Writing & Story Assist with writing and editing content for digital platforms, social media and marketing materials
Support research and development of stories highlighting South Carolina's businesses, workforce and communities
Contribute to copywriting and messaging for campaigns and special projects
Help translate complex information into clear, engaging content
Event Marketing & Creative Support

Support creative and content needs tied to agency events, conferences and initiatives
Assist with development of promotional assets and post-event recap materials
Help gather and organize content that showcases engagement and community impact
Project & Team Collaboration Participate in brainstorming sessions, creative planning and project development
Support coordination of marketing deliverables and special assignments
Collaborate with team members and external partners on content and creative projects
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, public relations or a related field. Demonstrated interest in branding, content creation and storytelling.

Knowledge of basic graphic design principles and content creation practices. Ability to support development of creative assets and written content across digital platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated creativity, curiosity and interest in branding, economic development and community storytelling.

Must have valid driver's license. May require occasional support for agency events or initiatives. Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following: Graphic design for digital, print or social media platforms
Basic copywriting, content development or storytelling experience
Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or related tools)
Canva or other social content creation tools
