JOB SUMMARY

Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, this position would assist the ongoing development and performance of Club Sports marketing, promotions, game day coordination, and digital content management. The person performing this role will understand, follow, and disseminate Liberty University policies regarding planning for upcoming men's hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's volleyball seasons, administrative marketing tasks, and ordering of marketing and promotional materials. This position will work closely with all marketing and game day staff to organize and oversee administrative marketing/promotional tasks, any marketing student workers and interns, and overall contribute to the organization of gameday functions.

**This position is not a full-time role and is intended for those interested in pursuing a graduate program at Liberty University.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the planning and execution of promotional strategies for Club Sports teams (including Men's D1 Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, and Men's Volleyball), working closely with full-time staff to bring campaigns to life and enhance fan engagement.
Assist in delivering a high-quality game day experience for Men's D1 Hockey, helping ensure promotions, sponsorship activations, and fan experiences are executed effectively, while proactively addressing needs as they arise.
Coordinate key elements of game day operations, including Will Call, and provide support to game day staff, media teams, and event personnel to ensure smooth execution.
Help prepare and organize game day assets, including promotional items, requests, and digital/website content, ensuring readiness in advance of events.
Contribute to maintaining Club Sports digital platforms, supporting the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of website and promotional content.
Assist with seasonal preparation, including ordering and organizing promotional materials, suite gifts, and fan engagement items.
Collaborate with campus partners and external sponsors to support creative promotions and enhance the overall game day atmosphere.
Support social media efforts through Academic Integration, including assisting with meetings, communication, and guidance for student interns managing team accounts.
Maintain organized files, timelines, and tracking documents to support efficient workflow and execution of initiatives.
Provide general administrative and event support for Club Sports operations and special events as needed.
Represent Club Sports in a professional and positive manner, working collaboratively with staff, students, and external partners.
Assist with events during evenings and weekends and support additional responsibilities as assigned.

Work in Concessions as needed throughout the year.

Complete necessary university training to stay in compliance.

Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's mission.

Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will oversee various interns each semester, and some marketing staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education and Experience

Four-year college degree, with a concentration in communications, sport management, or related degree, and experience with administrative marketing.

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB

Communication and Comprehension Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.

Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.

Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Problem Solving Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.

Physical and Sensory Abilities Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.

Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well-lit, and the noise level is moderate. Attending events may cause some exposure to outdoor elements.

Driving Requirements

If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.
