Junior Account Executive – New York
Immediate opening for a high‑energy, detail‑obsessed Junior Account Executive with 1–2 years of PR, marketing, or communications experience. You’re driven, intentional, and ready to do good.
The Role
Active Storytelling Support: Support the execution of 360‑degree campaigns for a roster of consumer and lifestyle clients. You will move from list building to pitching, securing your own wins in lifestyle, digital, and trade outlets.
Cultural Monitoring: Act as the team’s eyes and ears. You are responsible for daily news and social media monitoring, flagging "vibe shifts," trending creators, and competitor news that our clients need to know about now.
Modern Research & List Management: Own the foundational research that fuels our strategies. You will build and maintain meticulously researched media and creator lists that reflect the actual modern landscape—not just a generic database.
Content Creation: Draft the first versions of creative pitches, press materials, and social briefs. You are learning to write in a variety of "brand voices" and can produce clean, persuasive copy under tight deadlines.
The "Engine" of the Account: Manage the account essentials—agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and sample tracking—with total precision. You ensure that senior leaders have exactly what they need to succeed.
On‑the‑Ground Execution: Provide essential support for client events, from press previews to influencer activations. You handle the logistics—RSVPs, check‑ins, and media wrangling—with a professional and solution‑oriented attitude.
Relationship Driven: You recognize that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co‑workers, partners, and the media—prioritizing trust, integrity, and professional poise from Day 1.
Who You Are
The Ambitious Generalist: You have 1–2 years of experience in PR, marketing, or communications. You’ve moved past the "learning the basics" phase and are eager to take on more ownership of client deliverables.
Culturally Connected: You have a deep, intuitive understanding of the modern storytelling landscape. You know which Substack everyone is reading and which creators are actually driving consumer behavior.
High EQ: You possess high EQ and situational awareness. You know when to ask a question, when to take a beat, and how to communicate effectively with senior staff and external partners.
A Strong, Fast Writer: You are a concise and creative writer. You understand the difference between a traditional press release and a punchy email pitch that actually gets an editor’s attention.
Incredible Organization: You have an eagle eye for detail. To you, a typo in an agenda or an outdated contact on a media list is a missed opportunity for excellence.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are proactive. You don’t wait to be told what to do; you look for ways to be helpful and bring fresh, "out‑of‑the‑box" ideas to every brainstorm.
