The Fox Cities region of Wisconsin offers a unique blend of small-town charm and urban amenities that make it one of the Midwest's hidden gems. This thriving area encompasses Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, and surrounding communities along the Fox River, creating a vibrant corridor of culture, commerce, and community.
As Wisconsin's third-largest metropolitan area, the Fox Cities boasts a rich paper industry heritage that has evolved into a diverse economy featuring healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors. The region is home to Lawrence University, one of the nation's premier liberal arts colleges, which brings a dynamic arts and cultural scene including world-class performances at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love the extensive Fox River Trail system, perfect for biking and walking, while the nearby waters offer excellent fishing and boating opportunities. Winter brings ice fishing, snowmobiling, and easy access to ski hills. The region celebrates its heritage with unique attractions like the History Museum at the Castle, the Building for Kids Children's Museum, and the Houdini Museum honoring the famous magician who called Appleton home.
Sports fans can cheer on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers minor league baseball team at the beautiful Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, and you're just a short drive from Lambeau Field to catch the Green Bay Packers in action. The area's strong sense of community is evident in its numerous festivals, farmers markets, and local events that bring neighbors together throughout the year.
With a lower cost of living than major metros, excellent schools, and that genuine Midwestern hospitality, the Fox Cities region offers an exceptional quality of life where you can truly become part of the fabric of the community you cover.
