About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a growing commercial landscaping company in Houston to hire a Business Development Manager focused on municipal and government contracts .

This role is centred on winning and managing public sector opportunities —including city, county, education, and other government entities.

You’ll play a key role in expanding the company’s footprint across publicly funded projects and long-term service contracts.

What You’ll Be Doing
New Business Development (Public Sector)

Identify and pursue municipal and government landscaping opportunities

Build relationships with procurement teams, city officials, and decision-makers

Track and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid opportunities

Manage the full bid process from qualification through submission

Develop a strong pipeline of public sector opportunities

Monitor bid platforms and upcoming contract releases

Position the business for long-term contract wins

Work closely with leadership on pricing and bid strategy

Internal Collaboration

Partner with operations to ensure accurate project scoping

Support smooth handover of won contracts

Align on delivery expectations and timelines

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience selling into municipal / government / public sector clients

Experience managing RFPs, RFQs, and formal bid processes

Strong understanding of how public contracts are won and managed

Established relationships in the Houston or Texas public sector (highly desirable)

Strong communication, organisation, and follow-through
