The Social Media Coordinator will help define the strategy, planning, and execution of Taco Cabana’s social content across all platforms, with a strong focus on building a scalable content engine that drives engagement, grows community, and supports revenue through high-impact, video-first content. This role is equal parts strategist, creator, and operator and should be someone who can turn ideas into content, and content into performance.

The social media coordinator will help build a scalable, insight-driven content system that produces high-impact content aligned with launches, campaigns, and business goals. This includes developing content plans, writing scripts, sourcing inspiration, and creating content that resonates, scales, and drives measurable results across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Own and manage the monthly social media content calendar across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube

Define platform‑specific roles, content categories, posting cadence, and day‑of‑week strategy to create a consistent scalable content engine

Develop structured content execution plans, including video concepts, hooks, scripts, inspiration references, and product focus for each content slot

Align content strategy with launches, enrollment campaigns, product priorities, and evergreen storytelling

Establish weekly content focus by SKU, bundles, key categories, and promotions to drive intentional storytelling, engagement, and conversion

Content Development & Execution

Write & guide high‑performing scripts for video content, including hooks, CTAs, captions, on‑screen text, and hashtags tailored by platform

Develop content across brand channels to diversify reach and authenticity

Lead development of short‑form, video‑first content (7‑20 seconds) & long‑form for specific platforms (20+ seconds) optimized for engagement and reach

Utilize AI tools to support content ideation, scripting, and production workflows by product category to streamline and scale content creation

Collaborate with the internal creative and brand team to execute content aligned with strategic direction

Ensure all content is on‑brand, and aligned with campaign goals, and best practices

Analytics & Optimization

Lead weekly and monthly content reviews to evaluate performance and identify optimization opportunities

Track key organic metrics, including views, watch time, engagement (shares, saves, comments), and follower growth

Use analytics tools to identify high‑performing content patterns and inform future strategy

Continuously test and iterate on hooks, formats, and messaging to improve engagement, conversion, and reach

Partner with the Marketing team to share creative insights, align on performance learnings, and implement platform‑specific insights

Translate data into clear, actionable direction for stakeholders

Creative Testing & Content Velocity

Maintain a consistent pipeline of new content each week to support ongoing testing

Test variations in hooks, formats, and messaging to identify what resonates

Scale and iterate on high‑performing content while quickly moving on from underperformers

Build a repeatable system for producing and refining winning content

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Project Management

Partner closely with the internal Creative and Brand Marketing team members to align content with campaign timelines, product priorities, and performance goals

Manage the full content lifecycle, from ideation and planning through production, scheduling, publishing, & execution

Identify high‑performing organic content suitable for paid amplification and share with the Paid Media team

Support alignment between organic learnings and paid creative strategy

Schedule and publish content using Sprout Social, ensuring consistency and accuracy

Maintain clear documentation of content plans, scripts, and performance insights

Qualifications

3‑5+ years of experience in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing (preferably in restaurant or hospitality)

Proven track record of growing and managing social channels, especially TikTok & Instagram (experience in YouTube is a plus)

Demonstrated ability to create content that performs, with a strong understanding of short‑form video, trends, engagement, and shareability

Experience building and managing structured content systems, including planning, production, and performance optimization

Experience writing high‑converting scripts, hooks, and content briefs

Proficiency in Sprout Social or similar social scheduling tools

Strong understanding of platform algorithms and how content is distributed across TikTok, Instagram, and similar platforms

Experience using analytic tools and performance data to guide content decisions

Experience leveraging AI tools to support content ideation and workflow efficiency

Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail

Ability to balance creative thinking with data‑driven decision making

Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams
