[WEBTOON] Marketing Assistant (Independent Contractor)

We are seeking a creative, energetic and detail‑oriented individual to join the WEBTOON Consumer Goods team as an assistant. Reporting to the Director, Integrated Marketing, you will support the Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group social media accounts and influencer program. This hands‑on role will give you critical experience in marketing our titles to consumer audiences and participating in the development of sales materials for retail sell‑in efforts.

What you’ll be doing:

Assist with the Wattpad Books and W by Wattpad Books social media handles, collaborating with the Marketing team on content planning and scheduling

Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content that promotes audience interaction and increases audience presence

Act as the face of our social media accounts in video content as needed

Analyze and report on audience information, demographics, and success of existing social media campaigns

Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content

Work with the team to expand the WWBG Influencer program and draft content for our quarterly newsletter

Create sales materials as needed (sell sheets, simple pitch decks)

Assist with Publicity (press releases and trade review submissions) as needed

What we’re looking for:

A reader who can articulate why others would want to read the books you discover

A passion for social media and finding innovative ways to use it to promote books and authors

Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Excellent multi‑tasking, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Strong copywriting skills and intermediate design experience (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) considered an asset

A willingness to be on camera/face‑forward (TikToks/Reels + moderating Lives with authors)
