You will manage all aspects of audio execution for a multi‑day conference, including general sessions, panels, keynote speakers, and playback elements. The event takes place in Overland Park, United States, and requires on‑site presence for setup, execution, and strike over three days. You will coordinate closely with the A/V production team, ensuring seamless audio delivery across both the main venue and a secondary location on the final day. The venue is an exhibit hall with challenging acoustics, requiring expertise in FOH mixing and wireless microphone management. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can take full ownership of the audio experience and deliver professional results under tight timelines.
Deliverables
Provide FOH mixing for panels, keynote speakers, and playback content throughout the event
Manage and troubleshoot wireless microphone systems for multiple speakers and sessions
Oversee audio setup, execution, and strike for both the main event and secondary location
Collaborate with the A/V team to ensure seamless integration of audio with video and lighting
Conduct sound checks and adjust audio levels for optimal clarity in a large, non‑carpeted exhibit hall
Maintain clear communication with event staff and presenters to address any audio needs or issues
Ensure all audio equipment is properly configured, operated, and maintained during the event
Requirements
Proven experience as an A1 or lead audio engineer for live conferences or large‑scale events
Expertise in FOH mixing, wireless microphone management, and troubleshooting audio issues in real time
Strong knowledge of professional audio consoles, playback systems, and signal flow
Ability to adapt to challenging acoustic environments and deliver high‑quality sound
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for coordination with A/V and event staff
Availability for on‑site work in Overland Park, United States, from April 27 to April 29 (including setup and strike)
