The Role
We’re hiring for someone who’ll own Vega’s external presence. That means owning how we show up across every channel and every room: the content that earns trust from carriers and MGAs, the events where relationships get built, and the commercial narrative that makes us the obvious call before a demo is even scheduled.
GTM is also changing faster than most companies realize. AI is reshaping how buyers discover, evaluate, and engage with vendors - and we intend to be ahead of that curve, not catching up to it. This role will be central to how Vega thinks about and executes that.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, market development, and communication. You\'ll work directly with the CEO, Sales, and BizOps teams, taking complex ideas about insurance technology and turning them into something the market engages with. You\'ll own high-stakes external projects and have real latitude to shape how Vega is perceived.
What You\'ll Do
External presence: Own how Vega shows up across every channel - content and thought leadership that earns credibility with buyers and industry press, and a conference and events strategy that puts us in the right rooms with the right people.
Sales partnership: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Sales team on high-stakes pursuits - sharpening pitch decks, building leave-behinds, drafting exec-level proposals, and helping reps frame Vega\'s value in language that resonates with carriers and MGAs.
GTM innovation: Help Vega stay ahead of how AI is changing the way B2B companies go to market - from how we generate demand to how we run outbound to how we engage buyers. You\'ll have real latitude to experiment and operationalize what works.
Commercial support: Partner with BizOps on RFP responses, pricing narratives, and deal-specific materials where structured thinking and clear writing make the difference.
Partnerships: Identify and develop strategic relationships with distribution partners, industry associations, and adjacent ecosystem players.
Talent brand: Work with the team to make Vega visible to exceptional candidates - through content, community, and a culture story that\'s actually differentiated.
Special projects: Take on work that doesn\'t fit neatly anywhere else - market entry briefs, conference strategy, competitive teardowns.
Who You Are
4-6 years of experience in a market-facing function - product marketing, brand, growth, partnerships, or content strategy. A background in top-tier consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or equivalent) is a plus.
An exceptional communicator - your writing is clear, precise, and not generic. People actually read what you send.
Structured enough to run a complex project, but creative enough to produce work that\'s genuinely interesting rather than just technically correct.
Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by ownership. You don\'t wait for a playbook.
A smart generalist at your core. This role is scoped as a marketing function but will expand - we expect you to expand into commercial strategy, partnerships, and market development over time; wherever the company needs high-agency thinking.
A builder. You\'ve shipped things, grown things, or created something in a past role that you\'re proud of.
Fluent with AI tools and comfortable weaving them into your day-to-day work - whether that\'s research, drafting, or accelerating output. We\'re an AI-native company and expect the same from our team.
Nice to have: experience in insurtech, fintech, or vertical AI/SaaS.
We set our salary ranges using compensation data from companies similar to our stage and size. For this role, the estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. The actual salary will vary depending on multiple factors unique to each candidate, including location, job-related knowledge, transferable skills, work experience and our assessment of your level during the interview process. Vega offers equity for all full-time employees, which is not included in the range listed above and will have an impact on your overall compensation.
