Responsibilities
As a Radio Producer, you will be responsible for all aspects of show production from inception to completion.

Protect the iHeartMedia brand.

Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.

Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and vision to keep the show competitive and aligned with brand image.

Create new concepts and ideas, conduct audience research, identify suitable content, and curate audio resources.

Overcome obstacles, pitch ideas to senior colleagues, and pursue information.

Oversee hiring, scheduling, and management of contributors and guests.

Write scripts, plan show schedules, and direct on-air talent following the show outline and timeline.

Manage show logistics, make cost/benefit decisions, and oversee final editing.

Lead pre-production briefings for on-air talent, presenters, reporters, guests, and technical staff.

Coordinate logistics for people, resources, and equipment to ensure timely execution.

Respond to listener comments or complaints.

Produce outside broadcasts as required.

Requirements
Ability to generate original ideas and communicate them creatively to audiences; comprehensive knowledge of subjects relevant to specific radio genres.

Understanding of the radio market, station/program styles, and audience demographics.

Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor content for diverse audiences and platforms.

Proven track record of motivating, coaching, and leading a team.

Full knowledge of laws, ethics, and industry regulations around radio production; competence in securing necessary clearances and licenses, including copyrights and music clearances.

Understanding of health and safety legislation and procedures.

Excellent IT skills, including data handling, audio editing, and image manipulation software.

Ability to build rapport and extract information from people.

Confidence and tenacity when handling difficult decisions and issues.

Calm, effective performance under pressure and to rapid changes.

Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills; complemented by diplomacy, empathy, and patience.

Work Experience: 5+ years as Radio Producer.

Education: 4-year college degree preferred; postgraduate studies in Radio Production a plus.

Certifications: None required.

Compensation
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including experience, knowledge, and market data.

$96,000 – $120,000.
