Role Overview
This role is a key member of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Communications team, directly supporting the Vice President, Global Media Relations. The position plays a critical role in shaping and advancing ELC’s global media presence, with a strong focus on storytelling, media engagement, and real-time news awareness across the beauty, fashion, and business landscape.

This individual will serve as a strategic and executional partner in driving media relations efforts, supporting enterprise storytelling, and identifying timely opportunities to position ELC and its brands within top-tier business, beauty trade, and consumer media. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about the media landscape—constantly consuming news, tracking trends, and bringing a sharp point of view on what matters now.

The role requires a strong editorial mindset, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating across brands, regions, and functions.

Responsibilities

Support the Vice President, Global Media Relations in executing global media strategies and day‑to‑day press activities

Monitor, analyze, and synthesize the media landscape, including coverage of ELC, competitors, and broader beauty, fashion, and business trends

Identify and proactively surface timely storytelling opportunities informed by news cycles, cultural moments, and industry shifts

Draft and develop press materials, media pitches, briefing documents, and executive communications

Contribute to enterprise and long‑lead storytelling efforts, ensuring consistent and compelling narratives across global media

Collaborate with Global Brand teams to uncover and amplify cross‑category stories and innovation highlights

Manage inbound media inquiries and coordinate interviews, press opportunities, and media events

Coordinate planning and execution of international press and influencer visits to New York

Drive organization of key moments, including PR Manager Meetings, Brand Conferences, and Global/Regional events

Partner cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness for media engagement

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications

Demonstrated passion for media, with a strong appetite for consuming and understanding business, beauty trade, fashion, and consumer press

Strong news instincts with the ability to identify trends, angles, and timely opportunities for storytelling

Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment

Ability to think strategically while executing tactically

Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR platforms is a plus

Bachelor’s Degree required

Pay Range
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $66,300.00 to $93,250.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
