Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma or its equivalent and seven (7) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in radio or television productions or programming, or a bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in communications, broadcasting, or English and three (3) years of professional experience in radio or television productions or programming. Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

Graduates using U.S. education to meet minimum requirements will not be appointed until verification of applicable degree. Foreign trained graduates must provide credential evaluation from an approved agency.

Additional Requirements
Flexibility in work schedule is required.

Required to frequently travel statewide on short notice as needed.

Job Duties

Write, produce, and direct audio and video programs in public affairs, information, education, and promotion.

Develop scripts, schedule interviews and shoots, research content, and manage production timelines.

Work with internal and external clients to shape messages within audio‑video formats.

Manage production teams, operate broadcast‑quality video cameras, and direct talent.

Perform pre‑production tasks: concept creation, project scheduling, script writing, fact‑checking, location scouting, talent casting, and equipment procurement.

Execute production work: lighting, operating cameras, directing on‑camera talent and scenes, interviewing, and coordinating technical staff.

Edit and post‑production: non‑linear video editing on Mac, ensuring quality control standards, logging digitized footage, and meeting technological specifications.

Maintain audio‑video section operations: inventory monitoring, equipment research and procurement, record keeping, copyright compliance, vendor negotiation, and liaison work.

Plan and execute video presentation events: venue scouting, vendor contracts, onsite setup and strike, and coordination with staff and partners.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in writing short‑form and long‑form scripts.

Proficiency in researching, scheduling, and conducting interviews.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organization and prioritization skills.

Attention to detail.

Physical ability to carry equipment weighing over 40 pounds for extended periods.

Familiarity with professional broadcast‑quality video cameras (HD and/or 4K) and/or still photography.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop.

Knowledge of non‑linear editing on Mac platform.
