Overview Mehfil Indian Bistro is a community-first restaurant in Truckee's Gateway district. We're looking for someone who lives in the Truckee/North Tahoe area and can help us stay visible and connected through weekly content.
What you'll do Publish 2–3 Instagram and Facebook posts per week tied to what's actually happening — weather events, local happenings, ski season milestones, community programs, or behind-the-scenes moments at the restaurant
Write captions that feel local and human — not templated or corporate; our voice is casual, welcoming, and community-aware
Create or source visuals — photos, short videos, or designed graphics (1200×1200px) — that match our established brand palette
Brief us weekly on content ideas and get a quick sign-off before posting — no solo publishing without approval
Support promotions for ongoing programs like Crew Night and any seasonal specials or catering pushes
What we\'re looking for Local to Truckee or North Tahoe — you know the vibe of this community and don\'t need it explained
Active Instagram and Facebook user who understands what performs for small local restaurants — not just reels trends
Able to write clear, short captions — no fluff, no generic food content language
Basic graphic design skills (Canva is fine); photography a plus — food, people, and environment
Reliable — we need consistent output, not bursts of content followed by silence
Bonus: familiarity with Indian food culture, or at least genuine curiosity about it
