We are seeking a driven and experienced Editor (Level 2 or 3) who will be part of the Brand Experience team for Enterprise. As a member of the brand and communications team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual storytelling of our business priorities, bringing creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to every capture. You will collaborate closely with an experienced team of video production experts, photographers, graphic designers, and the Communications team to deliver high-quality and engaging content across Northrop Grumman channels. This role is ideal for someone who can work well independently and is able to effectively collaborate with others, including high-level leadership. This person respects the company brand guidelines, is comfortable balancing multiple projects at once, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines.

This position will be located in Promontory, UT. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Edit and produce video content in support of business and communication priorities while reflecting company values and honoring the Northrop Grumman brand.

Collaborate with the communications team and immediate team members to understand the creative vision and objectives of each project.

Take a lead role in the editing process, working with raw footage to assemble, refine, and finalize film content in support of but not limited to talent acquisition, marketing and advertising, product demonstrations and milestones, executive leadership events, and social media.

Select, incorporate, and balance appropriate music, sound effects, and visual effects to enhance the emotional impact and visual appeal of the final product.

Ensure seamless continuity, smooth transitions, and logical flow between scenes and shots.

Maintain a thorough understanding of project timelines and deliver edited content within agreed-upon deadlines.

Diligently protect and track raw footage and completed assets to safeguard proper handling of sensitive assets.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging editing techniques, and new software/tools to continuously enhance capture and editing capabilities.

Consistently network with cross‑sector peers and share communcate project challenges, lessons learned, success stories, and significant milestones.

Basic Qualifications – Level 2

Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field.

Proven experience in capturing and editing video, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of editing styles and techniques.

Excellent storytelling skills and a deep understanding of cinematic principles, pacing, and narrative structure.

Fluency in industry‑standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related creative tools involved in film making and motion graphics.

Keen attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of editing.

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make creative decisions independently.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Demonstrated familiarity with AI technologies (e.g., prompt engineering for large‑language models) and practical experience applying them to support project goals.

Basic Qualifications – Level 3

Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.

Proven experience in capturing and editing video, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of editing styles and techniques.

Excellent storytelling skills and a deep understanding of cinematic principles, pacing, and narrative structure.

Fluency in industry‑standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related creative tools involved in film making and motion graphics.

Keen attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of editing.

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make creative decisions independently.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Demonstrated familiarity with AI technologies (e.g., prompt engineering for large‑language models) and practical experience applying them to support project goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with photography.

Drone pilot with a Part 107 license.

Experience with interacting and capturing video in an executive level leadership setting.

Familiarity with interactive 360° video editing and best practices.

Proficiency in sound design and audio balancing.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance is a plus.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
