Social Media Intern Grounded Solutions & Patriot Excavating
About the Role: Grounded Solutions is seeking a highly capable, self‑directed Social Media Intern to help manage and grow the social media presence of Grounded Solutions and Patriot Excavating.
This role is ideal for someone who understands storytelling, branding, and performance, and who is self‑motivated to execute at a high level.

The Intern will work independently with little supervision while creating content specifically for Grounded Solutions and Patriot Excavating. The position requires local proximity to visit job sites occasionally to capture content.

Location: Mix of in‑office and remote work & on‑site content capture in Central Indiana + surrounding areas

Compensation: $17 per hour, $50 weekly gas stipend Time Commitment: ~10-20 hours/week for 6-8 weeks over the summer

Responsibilities
Content Creation

On‑site content capture (photo & video) at job sites as needed

Shooting and editing short‑form video and image‑based content

Creating cohesive visual assets aligned with brand standards

Strategy & Storytelling

Attending weekly production meetings to assess which projects are ready for content capture and working with project managers to acquire information as needed

Developing content storylines and themes that align with the brands

Translating real‑world projects into compelling, trust‑building narratives

Planning content calendars aligned with marketing goals

Publishing & Engagement

Posting content across agreed social platforms

Writing captions that reflect brand voice and positioning

Supporting light community engagement as needed

Analytics & Optimization

Reporting insights and recommendations

Developing a strategy based on data and feedback
