Our client is a highly respected, national staffing agency with offices across the United States and a strong reputation for delivering top-tier talent solutions across multiple industries. Due to continued growth, their IT Recruitment Division is expanding in New York City and seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive new business, grow existing accounts, and play a key leadership role in scaling the NYC IT practice.

Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate is a true hunter-farmer hybrid—someone with the grit to build a book of business from the ground up while nurturing and expanding long-standing client relationships.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding existing accounts, negotiating service agreements, and serving as the primary client contact. You’ll also have a dedicated team of IT Recruiters supporting your accounts, allowing you to focus on revenue generation and client growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the IT staffing and solutions business in the NYC market

Identify, pursue, and secure new client partnerships across industries

Manage and expand existing client accounts by uncovering additional hiring needs and cross‑selling services

Build, maintain, and grow a strong book of business

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on hiring trends, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategies

Lead client meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations

Partner closely with internal IT Recruiters to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction

Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales reporting

Represent the firm at networking events, industry functions, and business development opportunities

Required Experience & Qualifications

Strong hunter mentality with excellent relationship management skills

Proven experience in IT Recruitment and/or Business Development/Sales

Highly motivated, resilient, and driven by results

Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts

Experience selling IT staffing, contract staffing, direct hire, or workforce solutions preferred

Demonstrated success negotiating contracts and closing deals

Ability to collaborate effectively with recruiting teams and internal stakeholders

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
