Job Summary
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives in their assigned geography while complying with all applicable company and regulatory standards. This role involves understanding customer needs, aligning appropriate resources, and engaging healthcare professionals with advanced product and disease state knowledge. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the representative will promote Phathom’s first‑ever product to gastroenterologists, advanced practice practitioners (APPs), and selected primary care physicians to achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities
Drive sales performance to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
Maintain advanced product and disease state expertise to effectively engage gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, APPs, and office staff.
Continuously build understanding of territory market dynamics and market access opportunities to accelerate pull‑through by communicating with HCPs and office staff.
Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Account Specialists (SAS) to develop territory business plans.
Collaborate with peers, marketing, training, and sales operations to execute operations and share best practices.
Meet all administrative management responsibilities, including effective use of CRM and expense reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Two years or more of successful medical sales experience or one year pharmaceutical sales experience; GI specialty experience preferred.
Proven and consistent track record of sales performance.
Experience launching new products.
Demonstrated success leveraging marketing, market access, and technology solutions.
Proven business acumen and analytical expertise.
Build professional relationships with office staff and others in the customer network.
Demonstrated success in both live and virtual interactions.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Strong technical skills; computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom, etc.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Some overnight travel required depending on geography.
Travel to national, regional, and corporate offices may be required.
