Job Description
We are looking for a creative, detail oriented, and motivated Social Media and Press Coordinator who is interested in working in the exciting and fast-paced entertainment industry. This position supports company marketing efforts via multiple social media channels, community engagement efforts, and maintaining relationships with members of the press.
Reports to:
Senior Marketing Manager
This is a full-time, in-office position, with some nights and weekends required to cover events at venues. Candidates requesting work-from-home or hybrid work arrangements will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
Social Media
Develop and deploy organic social media postings across approximately 25 social media accounts including, Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin.
Manage social media engagement including, monitoring comments, mentions, direct messages, and interacting with other accounts.
Analyze and optimize social media metrics and analytics to adjust content as needed.
Create engaging and interactive social media posts that tell a story bridge the gap between PR and social media.
Collaborate with tour and artist management on social media campaigns, interview requests, and show press coverage.
Public Relations
Write and send press releases and pitches to the media about upcoming events and organization activities.
Build and maintain relationships across venue markets with local media, community partners, etc. and grow involvement in community initiatives through interviews, podcasts, and in-person activations.
Find and create compelling business/economic development stories within our buildings and communities.
Attend approximately four shows per month to capture on-site social media coverage along with community events as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
Deep knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
Experience with content creation and story-telling in both a traditional and digital manner.
Experience working with Canva, ability to use a Mac, and proficiency with MS Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
