Production Technician – Smart Glass Manufacturing

Position Overview

Smart Glass Production Associate – responsible for operating Smart Glass Equipment within a cleanroom environment, ensuring timely production, maintaining quality, and supporting continuous improvement. Works Monday-Friday 6:30 am–3:00 pm at the Tomah, WI plant.
Schedule & Pay

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am‑3:00 pm.
Pay: Starting – $23.50 /hour; after 3 months – $24 /hour; after 6 months – $25 /hour.
Responsibilities

Learn and operate Smart Glass Equipment.
Ensure timely execution of production orders.
Document activities as appropriate – e.g., logbook, inspection walkthroughs, etc.
Handle glass as necessary for production.
Work in a cleanroom environment, handling materials as needed; able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Assist in the daily cleaning of equipment and production areas.
Suggest equipment modifications to increase machine efficiency and improve quality.
Drive a forklift or other mobile equipment and support the receiving area as needed.
Record production data and report any deviations or issues.
Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure product quality.
Work cross‑functionally with other departments to ensure plant goals are met.
Additional projects as needed by Leadership.
Desired Skills & Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent.
Effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
Experience in electronics, glass, or precision manufacturing.
Cleanroom manufacturing experience.
Ability to utilize computer software and equipment interfaces.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, able to draft reports.
Ability to fill out technical documentation and draft technical reports.
Ability to learn operating practices for new smart glass equipment.
Understanding and application of measuring instruments.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Commitment to safety and an orderly, safe workplace.
Ability to work as part of a team, including all levels of coworkers and vendors.
Good judgment in decision making and all aspects related to the CLiC team, Cardinal, and other company relationships.
Professional appearance and conduct, exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
Ability to troubleshoot minor problems.
Ability to learn and interpret production equipment process data.
