Are you ready to lead a small but fierce team of award-winning journalists in the heart of the Colorado Rockies? Do you have a proven track record of success and are ready to take the next step in your career, one that will take you up to 8,300 feet elevation and higher, covering a world-class ski resort, a mountain bike mecca and one of the most visited national parks in the nation? The Sky-Hi News is seeking an editor to lead its small newsroom. The ideal candidate will be a leader and a planner who knows how to strategize and execute a wide variety of content — from in-depth features to concise breaking news updates — working collaboratively with writers, designers and editors on coverage. The right candidate will be comfortable managing a content calendar while coaching and supporting young writers to achieve short- and long-term assignment goals. We also need someone with a digital‑first mindset who understands that a strong website will lift the print product, too. Organization, planning and communication are critical skills, and juggling a variety of projects, people and interests is key to success in this role.
