Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to help grow our Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) wealth management firm by developing new client relationships, cultivating referral partnerships, and expanding the firm’s market presence. This role is responsible for identifying qualified prospective clients, building strategic alliances, and supporting the firm’s long-term growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines consultative sales skills, financial industry knowledge, and a strong ability to build trust with high-net-worth individuals, centers of influence, and professional referral networks.

Education
Years of Experience
Required: 6+ years of industry business development or wealth management/retirement services experience, with demonstrated progression of responsibility and scope

Certifications
Preferred: Series 65

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute virtual and in-person events to drive prospect engagement and brand awareness

Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients through phone, email, networking, and in-person outreach

Identify opportunities within professional, affinity, and corporate networks to expand the firm’s reach

Manage lead qualification, pipeline activity, and advisor handoff processes to ensure a seamless client experience

Execute targeted outbound marketing and prospecting campaigns across multiple channels.

Track campaign effectiveness, prospect activity, and pipeline metrics using CRM and reporting tools

Partner with advisors and leadership to support firm growth initiatives and business development goals.

Requirements and Skills

Advanced understanding of retirement benefit programs and investment products

Advanced understanding in targeted outreach campaign strategies, client market research, and business development performance analysis

Innovative mindset with experience managing large-scale projects from start to finish

Demonstrated awareness and experience with AI tools and openness to embrace AI resources in daily work

Demonstrate advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Outstanding communication and relationship building skills

Must be able to work independently and as a team player

Professional discretion when handling sensitive and confidential client information

Proficiency in CRM platforms and business development technology tools

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
