As we continue to grow and evolve our programs, we are seeking a
Web Designer / Website Manager
to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our digital presence. This role will play a key part in ensuring our website clearly reflects our programming, partnerships, and community impact.
We have successfully developed and executed several programs and partnerships as a nonprofit. As we continue building and scaling our offerings, we are looking for support in maintaining a website that is accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with our communications and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Website Management & Updates:
Create new pages and update existing pages with relevant program and organizational information
Ensure website content is current, clear, and aligned with ongoing initiatives
Maintain overall site organization and user experience
Design & UX:
Support design and UX updates across the website as discussed with the team
Ensure accessibility is prioritized in layout, structure, and content presentation
Implement improvements that enhance user navigation and engagement
Content & Collaboration:
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to align website updates with campaigns, newsletters, and social media
Support updating and formatting website copy as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints
General Support:
Troubleshoot minor website issues and communicate larger needs with the team
Provide input on website improvements and opportunities for growth
Mission Alignment:
Commitment to the mission and values of Future Arts to build bridges in an equitable manner, with accessibility first, to include underserved populations in tech + arts spaces and build a better future for generations to come
Qualifications:
Experience with website platforms (Webflow, Squarespace, WordPress, or similar)
Basic understanding of UX/UI and web design principles
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
Strong communication skills
Bonus:
Experience working in arts, nonprofit, or community-based organizations
Familiarity with accessibility best practices
Basic knowledge of SEO or analytics
