Overview
The Channel Marketing Specialist supports the execution and delivery of marketing programs for Fortress Building Products. The role manages inventory for samples, displays, and marketing literature, works directly with 3rd‑party fulfillment vendors, leads day‑to‑day activities of the Co‑op program, communicates with distributors about claims and budgets, and coordinates planning and execution of trade shows. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, this specialist ensures channel marketing initiatives are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities
Participate and assist the Marketing team in planning, developing, and executing trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and other events – including event registration, hotel and transportation arrangements, vendor services, venue research, menu planning, shipping logistics, product displays, collateral, signage, deposit payments, and budget maintenance and tracking.
Maintain current contact lists (contractors, dealers, distributors, etc.) and work with internal and external groups to ensure mailing and e‑mail lists are well managed, compliant, and effective.
Assist in preparing and coordinating special promotional programs, including writing and content development for literature and related materials, to introduce new products and channel programs to Sales team and customers.
Work with team members to gather performance data, evaluate program effectiveness, and close performance gaps by delivering solutions that meet business needs and support organizational goals.
Assist with budget tracking for events, meetings, and projects; provide invoices to Accounting for payment.
Track and control inventory of all promotional materials.
Occasionally serve as marketing representative on cross‑functional teams.
Provide timely product and marketing support to external customers.
Provide administrative support to the Marketing Manager.
Assist with basic graphic needs as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
3‑5 years of work experience in marketing with a proven track record of success.
Experience in the building products industry a plus.
Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others to achieve results.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiarity with and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Occasional travel may be required.
