Thea Energy is leveraging recent breakthroughs in stellarator physics and engineering to create a faster and simpler approach to commercializing fusion energy. The company is reinventing the stellarator using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils thereby replacing the intricate, complex modular magnets required in all other stellarator architectures. Thea Energy is on a mission to create a limitless source of zero emission energy for a sustainable future.

Position Overview:
Thea Energy is seeking a Marketing Manager to develop and own the Company’s marketing and brand functions as we build the future of fusion energy. You'll build and execute the strategy that elevates a company that will deploy fusion power on the grid at scale, including managing our social presence, defining our visual and brand identity, and creating content that transforms a complex technology into an urgent, accessible, and inevitable movement.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in the fast-paced environment of a rapidly scaling company. Thea Energy’s dynamic team is made up of self-motivated individuals with an excitement for solving complex problems.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Develop and own the Company's social media strategy across all platforms, growing a high-quality, engaged audience, including paid content and ad placements.

Create and manage a robust content calendar for social and digital media, and assess relevant opportunities.

Lead the production of videos, graphics, and other assets, including vendor management when necessary.

Evolve, document, and enforce the Thea Energy brand and brand guidelines, including the Company’s visual identity, voice and tone, messaging, and design standards internally and externally.

Evaluate conference and external event opportunities for Thea Energy.

Grow and maintain the company's web presence, ensuring all digital touchpoints reflect the brand.

Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics.

Support PR and communications efforts including press releases and company sponsored events.

Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into compelling, shareable narratives for various audiences.

Ideal Experience & Skillsets:

5+ years of experience in digital marketing, brand management, and social media, with a strong portfolio of content you've owned end-to-end.

Excellent written communication skills and ability to match tone to context across short-form socials to board-ready presentations.

Strong visual sensibility and comfort directly producing creative assets.

Experience owning a brand’s identity.

Proactive, self-directed, solutions-oriented, and data-driven mindset; with an ability to independently set goals, track performance, and iterate based on results.

Demonstrated ability to make technical or scientific subject matters engaging and accessible to broad audiences.

Experience in deep tech, energy, space, or scientific fields is strongly preferred.

Startup experience; comfort with ambiguity, and an ability to build from scratch and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is strongly preferred.

Videography, video editing, or podcast production skills is a plus.

Experience with vendor management.

Experience across the Adobe Creative Cloud and similar tools; quick to learn new software.

Bachelor's degree or greater.

Salary range $85,000-$130,000
