divh2Industrial Journeyman Painter/h2p***MUST QUALIFY FOR PER DIEM***/ph3Position Summary/h3pMust be able to prepare surfaces by means of abrasive blast, and power tool cleaning according to paint manufacturer surface prep recommendations. Industrial Journeyman Painter will paint equipment and structures for protection and cosmetic purposes. The position will also be required to maintain, mix, and have thorough knowledge of paint and other coating material so that to ensure the equipment or structure is painted and protected as per contract or specifications./ph3Qualification Highlights/h3ulliMust have all Knowledge Skills and Abilities required (see below)./liliMust be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on a painting project./liliMust be able to meet all physical requirements./liliMust be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations./liliMust have all required tools./liliMust have reliable transportation./li/ulh3Position Responsibilities/h3ulliIdentify all tools required for tasks./liliIdentify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks./liliIdentify and mix paint and coatings as required./liliKnow the proper use and techniques (stroke types) required per the paint/coating used and the item being painted or coated./liliMust be able to work at heights and off of ladders and scaffolds safely./liliClean up work areas./li/ulh3JOB REQUIREMENTS/h3h3Required Qualifications/h3ulliMust have 4+ years working as a Painter or Painter Helper on an industrial construction project./li/ululliMust have knowledge on materials, tools, and processes involved with basic painting techniques and knowledge of paint qualities./liliMust be able to identify the relationship to materials to be painted and the technique, mixture, and number of coatings required./liliMust have reliable transportation./liliMust be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime with little to no notification./liliMust be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations./liliMust follow all company and site rules and regulations./liliMust have required tools./li/ulh3Preferred Additional Qualifications/h3ulliFormer experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc./liliNational Center for Construction Education and Researchs (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Painter./liliFormal/Technical education./liliSome experience working with scaffolding, insulation, airless painting./li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliEmployee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting./liliWill talk and hear to communicate./liliWill use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools./liliMay be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs./liliWill work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off of platforms and man lifts, and may occasionally work out on an open structure using the appropriate fall protection requirements./liliWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and leather work boots./li/ulh3Required Tools/h3ulli1 - Metal Tool Box with Lock/lili1 - Pair of channel locks/lili1 - 25 or 30 Tape Measure/lili1 - 12 Crescent Wrench/lili1 Phillips Screwdriver/lili1 Flathead Screwdriver/lili1 Wet mil gauge/lili1 - 7/8 Open end/Box Wrench/li/ulpZACHRY is dedicated in providing a Safe and Drug Free work environment; and is an Equal Opportunity Employer./p/div
