Job Overview
Eastside Baptist Church of Cairo, GA is actively seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Pastor of Music & Worship.

Candidate Requirements

Be called by God to devote his time to ministry.

Be personally dedicated to Jesus Christ as Lord of his life and able to verbalize his testimony and dedication to Jesus Christ as Lord, and be baptized by immersion following salvation.

Exhibit vocal skills and an understanding of directing vocalists, instrumentalists, and the congregation.

Be proficient in reading music and teaching basic vocal skills.

Earned a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with preference given to a seminary degree; experience leading music in a Southern Baptist church is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor.

Cooperate with other staff and church leaders to meet the total needs of the church.

Demonstrate a character that represents Christ and Eastside Baptist Church in a positive manner.

Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating of a comprehensive music program in preparing groups, soloists, and choirs for internal and external ministry.

Stay informed about Christian development needs and opportunities through personal study.

Publicize and promote the music programs within the church and community.

Prepare and administer the music budget under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and the stewardship committee.

Work with the Senior Pastor in selecting music for regular and special worship services, including weddings, funerals, and special projects.

Oversee all aspects of the audio-visual ministry for worship services and special events.

Direct congregational singing at all regularly scheduled worship services.

Plan and arrange an "Order of Service" for worship services.

Participate in regular prayer and planning sessions and serve as an ex-officio member of committees as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Participate in regular hospital and prospective member visitation.

Attend clinics, conferences, and assemblies as needed for Christian and church music ministry development.
