Women's Designer - Cut & Sew, Active

About The Role
Location: HQ - Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Status: Full-Time / 100% on-site

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Kith Women’s is looking for a Women’s cut & sew, active designer to join their team. This individual will be focused on cut & sew, within the Women's Design team. They must have 3-5 years of experience in apparel design, be knowledgeable of the brand identity and be willing to work on site 5 days a week. The ideal candidate is a team player, accountable, and highly organized. They also possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of the business in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Create illustrator sketches based on allotted assortment per season.

Prepare complete tech packs across all product categories, in sketch, construction and upload onto development platform with complete BOMs.

Support design director in execution of women’s product from sketch to techpack through development into bulk production.

Process/correspond production comments through illustrator, PLM platform and email.

Attend bi-weekly fittings, take notes, follow up with production matters, and process comments per style.

Routinely update all master files, sketches and organize shared drives.

Manage weekly design presentation tools across designated product categories.

Proficient in email etiquette for internal and external emails to suppliers overseas.

Highly organized and meets given deadlines.

Maintain positive and professional working relationships with cross-functional team members and departments.

Special Projects / Tasks

Build market research reports, across designated product categories that pertain and are inline with KITH brand identity.

Develop artwork, logo developments, trim developments and build trim development charts per season.

Build construction specific pages for development and finishing details for their respective product categories.

Requirements
Experience

3-5 years of experience in apparel design; womenswear specific is a plus.

Cut & sew knits product category knowledge and construction knowledge in base layer, mid and outer layer.

Active product category knowledge and construction in base layer tops, bottoms, 1‑pc dressing, and mid layer.

Experience and proficiency in executing production comments.

Experience and proficiency in executing tech packs across multiple collections in both development and production on a day-to-day basis.

Skills

Extremely organized, detail oriented, and analytical.

Contributes positively to team dynamic.

Highly knowledgeable of construction and experienced in cut & sew tops, fleece tops and bottoms.

Highly knowledgeable of construction and experienced in active tops, bottoms, and 1‑pc dressing.

Strong computer sketching skills in illustrator.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be able to handle multiple priorities.

Natural yet professional ease at working with and relating to needs in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs or special projects.

Discretion to maintain confidentiality where appropriate.
