We are building the world's first scalable 3D lithography foundry: technology that could fundamentally change how advanced computing systems are built and the material basis of our world.

Position Summary
As our Founding Talent Lead, you will take full ownership of recruiting for Atum’s critical technical and operational functions. Partnering directly with our founders and hiring leads, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing the elite builders and engineers who will define our future. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role where your influence extends far beyond mere headcount; you are essential to building our foundation. You will excel at discovering unusually capable individuals who aren’t actively seeking new roles, leveraging sophisticated outreach and deep relationship‑building to bring them into our mission. As the primary face of Atum, you will craft the first impressions that translate our ambitious vision to world‑class talent.

In this role, you will architect and refine our entire hiring infrastructure, from initial sourcing strategies to the final offer stage. You will collaborate with leadership to define core roles, calibrate on talent profiles, and uphold an uncompromisingly high hiring bar. Your goal is to ensure every candidate encounters an interview process that is intellectually serious, respectful, and reflective of our culture. Beyond active searches, you will cultivate long‑term connections within research communities, technical networks, and specialized recruiting circles to ensure Atum remains a magnet for the world’s most gifted problem‑solvers.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone unusually good at identifying talent.

5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, with a consistent track record as a top performer

Strong sourcing instincts and proven ability to proactively find and engage hard‑to‑reach talent

Experience recruiting for technical roles such as engineering, hardware, or advanced manufacturing

Excellent judgment about people and culture fit

Comfort operating in an early‑stage startup environment with evolving roles and priorities

High ownership and ability to operate independently and manage multiple searches at once

Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred

Experience recruiting in deep tech, hardware, robotics, or advanced manufacturing environments

Experience building recruiting processes at early‑stage startups

Familiarity with semiconductor or photonics industries is a plus

Strong existing networks across engineering or research communities
