Job Title: Specialist - Package Implementation
Role Summary: The Duck Creek Manuscript Developer Onshore will be responsible for leading and supporting the enhancement, modernization, and stabilization of Duck Creek Policy manuscripts for Commercial P&C insurance implementations. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Duck Creek Policy DCT DCOD and direct experience with DCOD migration programs. You will work closely with client stakeholders’ business teams and offshore delivery teams to ensure compliant, high‑quality solutions. The onshore role carries additional responsibility for technical coordination, solution reviews, issue triage, and delivery alignment, acting as a bridge between client teams and offshore developers. Experience with AD Authoring Advanced Development is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Duck Creek Manuscript Development

Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Duck Creek manuscripts to support business regulatory and underwriting requirements

Review and approve updates to policy transaction rules and workflows implemented within Duck Creek Policy

Ensure manuscript changes follow Duck Creek best practices, are reusable, performant, and compliant with client standards

Provide technical guidance and review support to offshore manuscript development teams

Duck Creek Policy DCOD Migration

Act as the onshore technical SME for Duck Creek Policy DCT/DCOD implementations and modernization initiatives

Lead and support DCOD migration activities including manuscript refactoring, functional validation, and post‑migration stabilization

Work closely with architects, leads, and client stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from legacy On‑Prem solutions to DCOD architecture

Own and drive resolution of defects and issues arising from DCOD migration, upgrades, and platform changes

AD Advanced Development (Preferred)

Contribute to complex manuscript logic, advanced authoring patterns, and custom policy rule extensions

Guide the use of Authoring AD capabilities to implement scalable and maintainable configurations

Coordinate with integration and QA teams to ensure end‑to‑end functional correctness across policy flows

Onshore Coordination Governance

Serve as the primary onshore technical point of contact for manuscript‑related activities

Collaborate with business analysts, QA leads, and delivery managers to clarify requirements and resolve dependencies

Participate in design discussions, defect triage calls, release readiness reviews, and client status meetings

Provide technical oversight to ensure offshore deliverables meet timeline, quality, and compliance expectations

Required Experience

7 – 11 years of overall IT experience

5 years of hands‑on experience in Duck Creek Policy development

Strong experience in Duck Creek Manuscript development and maintenance

Proven experience working on DCOD migration or upgrade programs in an onshore capacity

Prior experience in PC Insurance Commercial or Personal Lines preferred
