Relationship Manager - Hedge Fund Services
Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services is a global provider of hedge fund administration, middle office, and related asset servicing solutions, partnering with sophisticated alternative asset managers across strategies and asset classes.

The Relationship Manager owns and manages senior level hedge fund client relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for clients and internal service teams. This role is responsible for client satisfaction, retention, and growth, while leading service governance, issue resolution, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Own senior level hedge fund client relationships as the primary point of contact across Northern Trust

Build trusted partnerships with executive and C suite clients through strategic engagement

Develop a strong understanding of client business models, investment strategies, and priorities

Lead service delivery governance by coordinating internal teams and ensuring consistent outcomes

Drive client satisfaction through proactive issue management and effective escalation handling

Lead quarterly client service reviews and executive level reporting

Own client profitability including P and L management, pricing strategy, and repricing initiatives

Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities across Hedge Fund Services and the broader bank

Partner with clients and internal teams to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance efficiency

Lead client and investor due diligence and technology onboarding initiatives

Serve as a subject‑matter expert and lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives

Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Experience within hedge fund services, fund administration, middle office, prime brokerage, asset management, or consulting

Strong understanding of alternative investment structures, operating models, and client service delivery

Ability to manage complex client relationships and multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Expertise in one or more asset classes and functional areas within the alternatives space

Ability to communicate technical and strategic concepts clearly to senior and C suite audiences

Strong judgment, integrity, and decision‑making capabilities

Highly collaborative, adaptable, and client‑focused mindset

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills

Passion for continuous learning with strong technology aptitude

Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well‑being benefits.
