Role Summary / Purpose
The VP, Account Leadership - Goldmind Creative Agency is a senior leader responsible for driving client partnership, revenue growth, proactive sales generation, and adoption of Synchrony’s in‑house agency. This role owns the health of the business – how work is shaped, prioritized, and delivered to create impact for clients and the enterprise. The leader identifies, develops, and converts new opportunities across existing and net‑new business to expand agency’s impact, partnering closely with Creative, Production, and Operations to ensure work is aligned, efficient, and high quality, while expanding internal adoption and strengthening the agency’s value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Growth & Adoption: Expand the agency’s impact by identifying, prospecting, and converting opportunities and increasing the share of work brought in‑house.

Own client and business health: Lead senior client relationships and be accountable for portfolio performance including growth, retention and overall client health.

Shape demand and priorities: Ensure incoming work is clearly defined strategically aligned and prioritized to enable effective delivery.

Partner across functions: Work closely with creative production and operations to improve outcomes and ensure work is set up for successful execution.

Guide decision making and focus: help teams and stakeholders make clear trade‑offs, reduce noise and focus on the highest impact work.

Lead and develop team: Build a high‑performing account organization with strong business acumen, clear ownership and accountability.

Drive financial alignment: Ensure scopes, priorities and delivery approaches align with business needs and financial goals.

Support scaled ways of working: Partner with cross‑functional leaders to enable adoption of AI templates and scalable delivery models.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or qualifying HS Diploma/GED with 12 years in agency, in‑house agency, or client‑side creative/marketing environments.

8+ years of experience in agency, in‑house agency, or client‑side creative/marketing environments.

6+ years of experience leading Account or Client Strategy teams.

Proven experience leading account management or client partnership teams.

Strong track record of driving growth, influencing stakeholders, and managing complex portfolios.

Experience working cross‑functionally within scaled delivery models.

Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Salary & Compensation
Grade/Level: 13

Salary range:

130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD

annually, eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Working Style & Location
We offer flexibility to work from home near one of our hubs or in one of our offices. You will be required to commute to your nearest hub (virtual or physical) for in‑person engagements such as regular meetings, training, and culture events. Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be 18 years or older.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4‑7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non‑exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
