About This Opportunity
Manpower is seeking a hands‑on District Manager to lead day‑to‑day recruiting operations and actively grow our client base. This role is designed for an operations professional who knows how to run a tight team, deliver consistent results, loves working/motivating others, is great with people, and is energized by solving problems.
This role involves owning two critical functions: ensuring our branch delivers exceptional recruiting fulfillment to existing clients AND professionally pursuing new business development opportunities within your targeted territory. If you come from warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, healthcare operations, or a service‑industry management background—and you have a knack for building relationships and driving revenue—this role was designed for you.
This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
Run the Branch:
Oversee daily branch operations, maintaining efficient workflows, quality standards, and accountability across the team.
Lead a Small Team:
Directly manage and develop a team of Recruiters, providing coaching, performance feedback, and hands‑on training to sharpen their skills and output.
Drive Client Fulfillment:
Oversee the full recruiting cycle—from candidate sourcing and screening to placement and retention—ensuring clients receive the workforce they need, on time and to standard.
Manage Performance Metrics:
Monitor KPIs including fill rates, time‑to‑fill, retention rates, and client satisfaction scores. Hold yourself and your team accountable to continuous improvement.
Financial Oversight:
Manage branch‑level forecasting, budgeting, and gross profit performance. Understand your numbers and make data‑informed decisions to protect and grow the bottom line.

Source Aggressively:
Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline using job boards, social media, community outreach, referrals, and direct recruiting techniques.
Innovate Recruiting:
Develop creative sourcing strategies tailored to the local labor market, including attending job fairs, partnering with schools and workforce agencies, and leveraging digital tools.
Improve Retention:
Implement onboarding and engagement practices that reduce turnover and increase associate satisfaction and tenure on client assignments.
What We’re Looking For
Operations Background
3–5+ years in an operations, branch, or site management role – prior experience supervising small teams is a must.
Proven ability to manage workflows, deadlines, and quality standards.
Background in human‑resources, staffing/recruiting, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, finance/banking, healthcare ops, or similar fast‑paced service environments preferred.
Sales & Business Development
This role will involve lots of hands‑on communication and problem solving. You must enjoy working with people and working through resolutions.
Demonstrated success generating new business or accounts.
Comfort with cold outreach, presentations, and closing.
Experience growing revenue within an existing account base.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High accountability and self‑direction — you deliver without being micromanaged.
Analytical mindset.
A collaborative, growth‑oriented attitude and genuine interest in developing others.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
