Job Summary

As a Lead Field Service Representative, you will be providing operations, maintenance & repair expertise on water treatment systems at a variety of customer sites. This critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de‑oxygenation, electro deionization, ultrafiltration (UF), wastewater, etc. To be successful in this profession, you’ll need to have strong mechanical, electrical, chemical and problem‑solving skills.

This is a traveling role that will assist and cover our clients throughout the Great Lakes region including: Michigan, Northern Indiana, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Candidates must live within that territory to be considered.

What you will do

Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance.

EHS (Environment Health & Safety) is always at the core of every activity and process.

Conduct maintenance and calibration activities.

Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO 2 , O 2 , SDI, TOC, plus various other site‑specific testing requirements and monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.

Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.

Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.

Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.

Consult with customer management and operation teams.

Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications.

Other duties as required.

Education & Experience
Required

High School Diploma / GED.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.

Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred (if applicable)

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (STEM).

5+ years of experience in a field service, plant production or technical support role.

Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Working Conditions

Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity.

Ability and willingness to work confined spaces.

Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments, including but not limited to industrial settings.

Ability and willingness for on‑call status for emergency response.

Travel 80 – 90 %.

This position is an hourly position that is overtime eligible.

Benefits

Compensation – The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is a guide and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. The offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $33 – $40 USD (No Bonus).
