Become a leader behind the mission of North Dakota's largest state agency by joining Health & Human Services as the Media Relations Manager.
As the Media Relations Manager, you will lead the agency's media and public relations work by building strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and community partners. You will write press releases, media statements, talking points, and other communication materials to provide clear, accurate, and timely information to the public about agency programs and services. You will also coordinate media interviews, and support community outreach and public events. In this role, you will help develop communication strategies that increase public awareness and engagement.
To be successful as a Media Relations Manager, you must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to create clear and engaging messages for different audiences. This position requires strong organizational skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. While working as part of a team, you must also feel confident building relationships with media professionals and staying calm in stressful or sensitive situations.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, marketing, or a directly related field and three (3) years of relevant experience.
