As a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist (Level 2), you operate as a core strategic driver of complex digital marketing engagements. You lead experience and marketing strategy workstreams with autonomy, owning insight development, analytics interpretation, and experience definition across websites & digital ecosystems, media, and operations.
This role blends strategic consulting, experience design, and project management. Externally, you will be the trusted strategic partner for global enterprise CMOs and VPs of digital, helping to manage and drive the account with a commercial focus. Internally, you will lead complex projects across UX, Design, Content, Martech, Analytics, and Technology, translating data and user insights into clear, actionable digital marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead digital marketing and experience strategy workstreams from initial pitches, SoW definition, to analytics & discovery, and through delivery.
Build long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders and use presentations to drive alignment over recommendations.
Leverage digital marketing expertise to translate insights into actionable strategies that improve engagement, conversion, lead generation, and self-service adoption.
Develop core strategy deliverables such as journey maps, ecosystem analytics, KPI frameworks, and opportunity roadmaps.
Analyze digital and ecosystem performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, or BrandWatch to inform strategic decisions.
Synthesize complex data (including user research, analytics, and stakeholder feedback) into compelling, executive-level narratives.
Collaborate with UX, Design, Content, Martech, Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure strategy-to-execution alignment.
Ensure strategic recommendations are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities.
Mentor junior strategists and contribute to team capability building and best practices.
Requirements
7–8+ years of experience in a strategy role, including Digital Strategy, CX Strategy, Marketing Strategy, or Advertising Strategy.
Strong experience leading end-to-end digital transformation initiatives that empower marketing teams and drive measurable business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize insights from user research, analytics, and stakeholder input into actionable strategies.
Hands-on experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and performance measurement.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, especially when working with C-level stakeholders.
Demonstrated comfort with technical AI solutions for both internal development and client project support.
Experience at a leading agency or consultancy.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Location
This is an in-office role based at our New York office. We work in a hybrid model with a strong preference for in-person collaboration and a policy that involves 3 days in person at the office in Manhattan. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.
