How the Protege Training Program Works

We are opening new locations in Chicago, IL, and selecting a small group of individuals for a Paid 6‑Month Protege Training Program. You will enter a paid 6‑month training program inside a high‑performing insurance agency, receive leads and training, learn how to quote, sell, and acquire new clients, be coached daily, and build the skills required to run a profitable agency.
At the end of the program, individuals who meet our performance standards will have the opportunity to launch their own agency.

What Makes a Successful Farmers Insurance Agency Manager?

Sales experience or a client‑facing background is a plus
Insurance experience is preferred, but not required
Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior
Proven track record of business results and leading a team
Must be coachable
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills

Offer products such as Home, Auto, Business, and Life Insurance
Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales
Understand prospects' needs and identify sales opportunities
Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers
Stay informed about competing products and services
Have a ton of fun while being part of a competitive team
Requirements

No prior knowledge about insurance is required.
Sales experience preferred.
Insurance Licenses required before start date.
Motivation to sell and being open to coaching.
