Position Summary
Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 12/23/2026. Appointment may be renewed annually based on availability of funds, work, and satisfactory performance.

Work Schedule
19 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8AM–5PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities

Act as primary or secondary contact for affiliate group programs.

Plan, execute, and promote training events and initiatives for local entrepreneurs.

Coordinate training schedules, materials, equipment, travel, and logistics for on-site or virtual delivery.

Confirm all trainings with partner organizations and staff (space, equipment, materials, attendance).

Develop recruitment and outreach plans for affiliates and participants; create promotional materials and distribute via social media and email.

Manage and update meeting room reservation calendars and prepare rooms.

Plan and manage effective training events.

Create event flyers, send weekly online communications, post flyers, and manage monthly newsletters and events.

Provide a monthly activity log to the Center Director.

Attend daily/weekly meetings as needed.

Review new affiliate applications.

Serve as communication hub—relay notes from meetings, calls, in-person interactions.

Answer incoming calls for ERC affiliate services and assist clients.

Communicate last‑minute changes to appropriate departments.

Respond to client needs promptly and professionally.

Use time‑management skills to prioritize work and schedule workshops and events.

Travel regionally as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

3 years in customer service, event planning, or hospitality.

Other:

• Valid CA Driver’s License. • Proficient Canva use for event flyers. • Manage social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn). • Exceptional customer service. • Strong verbal and written communication. • Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy. • Flexibility for evening and weekend hours. • Problem‑solving and listening skills. • Proficiency in Canva, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel. • Professional appearance and demeanor. • Organizational and prioritization skills. • Positive attitude. • Knowledge of safety practices.
