About the Team
Our TikTok Search Operation team plays a key role in improving TikTok users’ search experience by investigating user feedback, evaluating search results, analyzing data, etc.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with PM and RD teams based in the US and Mandarin-speaking countries to refine and implement search display strategies, driving improvements and optimization of key product metrics such as user engagement and satisfaction rates.

Conduct investigations to lay the groundwork for informed strategy formulation and product iterations of innovative display features in search.

Conduct rigorous evaluations to assess the impact and effectiveness of newly implemented features, ensuring they meet strategic goals and user expectations.

Gather and analyze search user feedback and performance data to develop insights, contributing to the overall decision‑making processes of strategic improvements and optimizations.

Independently manage evaluation and investigation projects, and be responsible for the overall process from planning to high‑quality analytical outputs.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers and technical teams to generate evaluation standards and project SOPs in both English and Chinese. Provide guidance to ensure all project milestones are met and align with the operational standards.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and operational units, participating in training and standardization activities to ensure consistency and quality in execution across the operations team.

Design and implement proactive operational plans in response to special scenarios or major events, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure efficient implementation and achievement of business goals.

Manage and adapt to ad‑hoc projects and urgent business requests efficiently, demonstrating flexibility and proactive problem‑solving.

Leverage understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance search relevance, ranking, and user experience.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to operationalize LLM‑driven features and monitor their impact on search performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above.

Minimum 1+ years experience in the following: search, content evaluation, or content moderation.

In‑depth understanding of search engines on TikTok or similar social media platforms.

Manage cross‑functional operational efforts, working with data delivery, engineering, and product teams to ensure the smooth rollout of projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent data analysis and communication skills.

Project management experience will be preferred.

Flexible, adaptable, proactive and self‑motivated, and demonstrated ability to perform well in a rapidly changing environment.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $70,304 - $151,112 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
