Job Description
A K-12 Media Specialist manages the school library and supports students and teachers in developing strong reading, research, and digital literacy skills. This role involves curating and maintaining age‑appropriate print and digital collections, teaching students how to locate, evaluate, and use information responsibly, and collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate literacy and technology into the curriculum. The Specialist also fosters a love of reading, provides instruction on safe and effective technology use, supports instructional technology needs, and helps create an inclusive, welcoming learning environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.
Qualifications
Master's Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in Library Science or a related field.
Passing score on Praxis School Librarian (5312) test.
Requires US work authorization.
