Job Description
The Vice President (VP) within the Telecoms and Technology team will play a crucial role in supporting in originating and executing client-related deals within the global Telecom & Tech sector. This individual will be instrumental in managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of strategic and high potential clients, often large private or public corporates and sector REITs, as well as sponsor funds and their portfolio companies across the US, Canada, and Latin America. The VP will contribute to fostering strategic and advisory ideas, and deliver integrated solutions across Natixis' Investment Banking and Global Markets products, working collaboratively with product specialists, M&A bankers, and senior management.

Client Support & Relationship Management:

Assist in building and maintaining strong, established relationships with senior management of key Telecom & Technology clients.

Support in developing strategic dialogues with clients, generating pitch ideas, and preparing client presentations and materials.

Actively participate in client meetings and discussions, contributing sector expertise and insights.

Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and Client Captains to ensure holistic client coverage and seamless delivery of "the house" across all products.

Deal Origination & Execution Support:

Contribute to the origination of Investment Banking and Global Markets products by identifying client needs and coordinating with relevant product teams.

Work closely with M&A bankers, including senior sector-focused M&A bankers at Solomon Partners, to support M&A advisory pitches and execution.

Play a key role in the execution of financing transactions, including debt and equity capital markets, infrastructure and energy finance, global trade, and leveraged finance.

Support the origination and structuring of complex transactions, including cross-border deals.

Product Knowledge & Cross-Sell:

Develop a strong understanding of Natixis' full suite of Investment Banking and Global Markets products, including FX, commodity and IRS hedging, ABS, and treasury services.

Identify opportunities for cross-selling these products to clients and collaborate with product specialists to develop tailored solutions.

Support the development of multi-product pitches to enhance client engagement and revenue generation.

Internal Collaboration & Process Management:

Track progress against fee targets and revenue objectives.

Facilitate and/or lead deal execution where applicable, ensuring timely and quality submission of proposed transactions to Ficom, BizCom, and Credit Committee.

Collaborate with portfolio management and risk teams in the proactive monitoring of client exposures.

Mentor and develop junior talent within the coverage team and related business lines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).

At least 5-7 years of corporate finance experience, with a strong focus on deal origination and execution in the Telecom and Technology sector at well-established financial organizations.

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships, with growing C-level engagement.

Proven track record of contributing to the execution of M&A and financing transactions within the Americas region.

Solid understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, credit analysis, documentation, and due diligence processes.

Familiarity with cross-border transaction structures and execution in complex situations.

Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and market dynamics within the Telecom and Technology sectors, as well as related products (e.g., capital markets, hedging).

Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, economics, and interest rate markets.

Experience working in cross-border M&A, Investment Banking, and/or leverage/project finance, ideally within a global bank.

Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to apply them to complex financial situations.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.

Series 79 and 63 licenses required.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and high-quality standards under pressure.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.

Leadership potential and a willingness to mentor junior colleagues.

The salary range for this VP level position will be between $175,000 - $250,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
