Job Overview

At Disney, guest and bus maintenance teams enable the magic that brings entertainment to life. This role involves maintaining the bus fleet to ensure safe, timely, and comfortable travel for guests in Walt Disney World Resort and its surrounding properties.
Roles and Availability

Potential positions include:
Full‑time Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic
Full‑time Area Mechanic Mechanical
Full‑time roles require full availability across any shift, seven days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Interview Process

Interviews will be conducted in‑person on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Disney property. Virtual interviews will be offered Monday through Friday for those unable to attend the in‑person session.
Responsibilities

Bus mechanics will keep the bus fleet fully repaired so guests can travel on time, comfortably, and safely. Responsibilities include:
Responding to non‑routine service calls
Performing daily fleet inspections, fueling, and minor repairs at the satellite maintenance facility
Utilizing state‑of‑the‑art lifts, equipment, and ventilation in a first‑class facility
Basic Qualifications

4 years of relative in‑field professional experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid Florida driver’s license
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in standard office software and mobile electronic devices
Ability to work from elevated platforms and confined spaces
Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic Qualifications

Valid Florida CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement, or a CDL Class A or B permit with passenger endorsement upon hire
ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 “Air Brakes” and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification required within 90 days of hire
Position is DOT compliant
Company will provide required CDL training
Area Mechanic Mechanical Qualifications

Valid Florida driver’s license upon hire
Valid Florida CDL Class A or B with passenger permit required within 90 days of hire
ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 “Air Brakes” and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification required within 90 days of hire
Company will provide required CDL training
Preferred Qualifications

Over 4 years’ experience in transit maintenance repair
Experience with Cummins Insite diagnostic
Knowledge of Therma King IntelligAire climate control systems
Experience with marquee destination sign repair
Multiplex Electronic Equipment experience
Familiarity with transit GPS tracking
Understanding of wheelchair lift/ramp
Schedule Availability

Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Seniority principles are used for scheduling all roles.
Pay and Benefits

• Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic in Florida: $29.59 per hour
• Area Mechanic Mechanical in Florida: $25.76 per hour
