Salary Range: $19.00 To $21.00 Hourly
Product Development Assistant
Main purpose of the role: This is a full‑time position for a candidate who will utilize organizational skills to maintain product and support the team from concept through production. The role supports various aspects of the design and development process through close partnerships and consistent communication to ensure the development process runs efficiently.
Major Responsibilities
Track, unpack, distribute samples and approvals throughout the development process, including support with all sample check‑ins.
Assist Product Developers in day‑to‑day functions.
Enter into PLM system and maintain records (check‑ins, line guides, updates, costs, status).
Assist with coding and submitting development invoices.
Support buy meeting preparations.
Maintain the Product Development fabric library.
Aid in factory costing and update cost in PLM.
Ensure PLM data accuracy.
Complete ad‑hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management.
Required Competencies
Strong knowledge of garment construction and specifications.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Team player who can multitask.
Flexible and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, and bend, stoop, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Minimum Qualifications
1–2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Excellent computer skills, including Excel and internet research.
Deadline focused and goal driven.
Capable of working efficiently with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in fashion, product development or a related field.
Experience with PLM systems.
Strong fabric knowledge.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
